Play Jack Lance's Puzzles
Game designer Jack Lance died two years ago at the age of 25. Most of his video games used PuzzleScript to build simple, sokoban-like puzzles. His designs were both playful and profound. It’s pretty clear that had he lived longer, he would have had a fair shot at being the greatest game designer ever. Jonathan Blow, in a moving impromptu eulogy, said:
…he was young, he was 25. And, you know, he was already one of the best game designers in the world, and was on track to be even better.
I recommend you play ENIGMASH and VEXT EDIT. His github.io page contains more, all worth exploring.
His fellow puzzlers have compiled various tributes to his work. See here, and here, and here.
